Mental Health

In addition to our unique portfolio of pharmacological, digital, and educational offerings for people with ADHD, MEDICE is consistently developing further with the new business field of Mental Care.

We are pooling our expertise in mental health under this roof. Our goal: to support people in all life stages with integrated health solutions – evidence-based, multimodal, and individual.

Our strategy is designed to close gaps in care, facilitate access to therapy, and enable individual treatment paths. The integration of Selfapy® is a visible sign of this new era. Together with renowned universities and technology partners like GAIA, we are developing digital therapies that can be seamlessly integrated into medical treatment and are immediately available when needed. With Mental Care, we are taking this commitment into the future. For a modern, humane, and measurably better care for mental illnesses.

Nutrition as the key to mental health

Our mental health is the result of complex interactions between biological, psychological, and social factors. A frequently underestimated influencing factor is nutrition: it affects our brain not only directly through metabolism, but also through the gut microbiome and the so-called gut-brain axis.

Nutrition plays a significant role in the treatment of eating disorders, which often occur as comorbidities with ADHD and depression.

The MEDICE Health Family is pursuing the goal of integrating nutrition as a fixed component in the therapy and prevention of mental illnesses with an innovative research and development program. Latest scientific findings from medicine, nutritional science, and psychology are networked and implemented in a practical way – from digital nutrition programs for children to targeted nutrient supplements like omega-3 products and microbiome-based interventions.

The connection is clear: A balanced diet can strengthen mental health; conversely, unfavorable eating habits can exacerbate mental complaints. Therefore, we understand nutrition as an integral part of a holistic therapy concept – and as an effective tool to promote mental health sustainably.
