Right to object and withdraw consent pursuant to Art. 21 and Art. 17 GDPR

Last update: 25 June 2025

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time and to withdraw your consent to data processing at any time. Below, we would like to give you an overview of the cases in which these rights apply and how you can exercise them.

1. Right to object in individual cases

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your (specific) situation, to the processing of your personal data which is based on a balancing of interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

In the event of an objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert or defend legal claims.

2. Right to object to the processing of data for advertising purposes

In individual cases, we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes (e.g. in the form of advertising letters, emails and newsletters). You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such advertising purposes.

If you object, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes.

If we have received your data via an external HCP database service provider such as IQVIA, MEDICE Health Family will restrict processing after you object by adding you to our block list. The data in the block list will only be used to check whether you do not wish to receive any further advertising. This restricted processing is carried out to protect your and our legitimate interest, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, in no longer receiving advertising from us.

3. Withdrawal of consent

You have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing at any time, informally and without giving reasons. Upon withdrawal, we will no longer process your personal data for the purposes specified. This also applies to consent given for direct marketing.

You will not suffer any disadvantages if you object. The objection is effective for the future; previous data transfers remain lawful.
